Warranty Terms & Conditions

WARRANTY INFORMATION

FHK Heating Systems are supplied by Amuheat Pty Limited t/a FHK Heating Systems Projects Pty Ltd ABN 86133998900 (herinafter referred to as FHK).

FHK will supply a replacement product where a fault is shown to be caused by faulty manufacture, materials, or workmanship providing the goods have been installed correctly & according to the installation instructions. This guarantee does not include removal, freight or installation costs. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure., remains free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and maintenance, and is guaranteed to remain in working order subject to the conditions and limitations below.


GUARANTEE INFORMATION

All FHK products are covered by the warranty periods as stated below.

Proof of purchase must be presented to make a claim, so please ensure that you keep a copy of both your invoice and purchase receipt in a safe place. Such invoice/receipt should clearly state the model that has been purchased and be in legible condition so as to aid in identifying the system.

If the product develops a fault within the warranty period due to normal wear and tear, FHK at its discretion will recognise whether it’s a faulty product or not. If it is impossible or not economical for the manufacturer to repair the product, the manufacturer will replace the faulty product with a new unit of the same model or if there is no stock available of the same model as the product, the manufacturer will replace the product with a new unit of a similar size (no responsibility can be taken for altered dimensions and lining up of existing holes) or the manufacturer will refund a sum equal to the price of product paid at the time of purchase.

The repair service offered within the warranty period only covers the faults and problems as developed from the manufacturer’s errors. The repair service does not cover make good costs, including but not limited to making good the floor, wall or ceiling covering to the original condition.

FHK is not responsible for any monetary loss or injuries caused by improper use of this product.

FHK are not held accountable for:

 - Damages or repairs as a result of incorrect application.
 - Damages by others during the FHK product installation or during the installation of any floor covering.
 - Damages as a result of floods, fires, winds, lighting, accidents, corrosive atmosphere or any other conditions/situations deemed beyond the control of FHK.
 - Use of un-compatible components or accessories.
 - Products installed outside of Australia.
 - Normal maintenance and care procedures.
 - Parts not supplied or designated by FHK.
 - Damages or repair required as a direct result of any improper maintenance, operation or servicing.
 - Consequential utility charges or damages to property as a result of not adhering to the safety and the thermostat operating instructions.
 - Failure to power up or start as a result of inadequate/interruption of electrical service.
 - Changes in the appearance of the product that do not directly affect the performance of the product.

Underfloor Heating Cable Warranty Information
15 Year Cable Warranty

The FHK Cable Warranty guarantees the underfloor heating cable systems will remain free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and maintenance, and is guaranteed to remain in working order subject to conditions and limitations. The FHK underfloor heating cables is guaranteed for 15 years under the floor covering it is originally fitted. The FHK 15 Year Cable Warranties applies if:

 - The heating cable product is registered within 60 days of installation; and
 - Only if the heating cable has been properly earthed and protected by a Residual Current Device (RCD) at all times.

All FHK 15 Year Warranties become void if the floor covering under which the underfloor heating cable is originally fitted is damaged, lifted, replaced, repaired or covered with additional layers of flooring. The FHK 15 Year Warranty does not cover accidental damage, including but not limited to damage caused by lifting, replacing, repairing the original covering laid after installation. The FHK 15 Year Warranty does not cover damage caused during installation, tiling or installation of any floor covering. Therefore, it is important to adhere strictly to the installation guide provided and follow the full test procedure detailed in the installation guide before, during and after installation. Failure to do so will void the product warranty. FHK are, in no event, liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to extra utility charges or damages to property.

Thermostat Warranty Information
3 Year Replacement Warranty

The FHK Thermostat Replacement Warranty guarantees the thermostats will remain free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and maintenance, and is guaranteed to remain in working order subject to conditions and limitations. The FHK thermostats is guaranteed for 3 years.    

The FHK 3 Year Thermostat Replacement Warranty does not cover accidental damage, including but not limited to damage caused by installation, removal or cleaning of the unit. Therefore, it is important to adhere strictly to the installation guide provided. Failure to do so will void the product warranty. FHK are, in no event, liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to extra utility charges or damages to property.

Mirror Demister Warranty Information
1 Year Replacement Warranty

The FHK Mirror Demisters are covered by a 1 Year replacement warranty. The FHK 1 Year Mirror Demister Warranty does not cover accidental damage, including but not limited to damage caused by installation or removal of the unit. Therefore, it is important to adhere strictly to the installation guide provided. Failure to do so will void the product warranty. FHK are, in no event, liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to extra utility charges or damages to property.

Footwarmer Warranty Information
1 Year Replacement Warranty

FHK Footwarmer Mat Heaters are covered by a 1 year replacement warranty where there is a fault caused by manufacture, materials or workmanship. The warranty only covers the electrical components but does not warrant against damage caused by wear or tear.


IMPORTANT NOTES

Warranty claims must be lodged to FHK, in writing, within the period prescribed. Full particulars must be given and a copy of the invoice must be enclosed by mail to PO Box 5427 Greystanes NSW 2145 or by email to sales@fhkheating.com.au

Any parts replaced or repaired under warranty will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or 12 months from the date of completion of repairs, whichever is greater.

Repairs that are made to rectify any damage other than manufacturing defects are not covered by the FHK warranty. Repairs that are made to rectify any damage other than manufacturing defects will be covered under a 3 month warranty period. Damage as a result of miss-use, improper installation, use of improper accessories or adhesives or unsuitable substrate conditions are in no event covered by any FHK warranty.
